The Bienville House Center For Peace & Justice of Baton Rouge will be honoring Bill Quigley at the annual Wade Mackie Peace Awards dinner on Tuesday, May 10th, at 6:30, at the University Methodist Church on Dalrymple Drive.
Activist icon Rev. Roy Bourgeois, who started the School Of The America's Watch actions at Ft. Benning, and originally from Lafayette, Louisiana, will the keynote speaker, and the Anna Byars Band will be playing some of their fine music.
Bill Quigley has worked tirelessly for many years as an anyi-war activist, and as a legal-mind extraordinaire, in connection with the SOAW,and too many other activities to list. He also marches in the street when demonstrations take place.
Please join us for an evening of enjoyment, in a room full of peaceful people.Take the time to come meet Roy Bourgeois, Bill Quigley, Paula Henderson and other peace and justice activists from our area, and have a nice meal.
HAPPY MOTHERS DAY to all of you mom's out there.
