About STAIR:
Start the Adventure in Reading (STAIR) is looking for volunteers to help our children improve their self-esteem and reading/language skills. Tutors give one or two afternoons (MW or TuTh) or one Saturday morning a week for fun one-on-one interactive tutoring and mentoring sessions with second grade students.

STAIR is a volunteer-based children’s literacy program serving the greater New Orleans Metropolitan area for the past 21 years even in the aftermath of the storm.

We provide an easy two hour training and on-going support.
