Katrina Survivors Need More Housing, Not More Brothels!!
Join us Saturday as we tell Senator David “Family Values” Vitter to stop blocking Senate Bill 1668 that would bring our working class families home

Affordable housing activists will be rallying on Saturday September 29 at the East Bank Regional Library in Metairie Louisiana to tell Senator David Vitter, who will speaking at a function there, to end his hypocrisy and stop blocking the return of families to New Orleans. While Senator David Vitter has lectured for years on so-called family values, this ‘committed husband’ has been using call girl services in Washington DC and new allegations say he has done the same in New Orleans—despite his denial of the latter. Yet, what is an even more outrageous example of hypocrisy regarding his ‘family values’ rhetoric is his opposition to Senate Bill (SB) 1668, critical legislation that would help bring thousands of New Orleans and Louisianan families home. This bill would provide some $1 Billion for the nearly bankrupt Road Home program for private homeowners. Furthermore, the bill orders the immediate reopening of 3,000 badly needed and viable New Orleans public housing units, and one-for-one replacement of public housing under any redevelopment. Senator Vitter is the key Senator holding up this critical piece of legislation.
We will gather on Saturday to demand Senator Vitter stop the hypocrisy by ending his blockade of SB 1668 and let our families come home!!!!
