Speak Out Against Corporate Corruption and Repression in New Orleans
Since December 2007, over 25 people have been arrested for their non-violent attempt to oppose and stop the demolition of public housing, and, in the process, uphold international human rights agreements the US is a signatory to. Come out to city council this week to denounce the repression, and to demand attention to the corruption involved in awarding contracts for ‘redevelopment’ of public housing, a crime wave the city council and mayor have been conspicuously silent about.
