Press Conference and Speak Out at HANO Board Meeting

Hands Off New Orleans Iberville Public Housing Development!
Stop Criminalizing Poor People!
Hands Off Kim Turner’s Family! Stop the Eviction Now!

When and Where:

HANO Office
4100 Touro St.
(near Elysian Fields and Gentilly Ave)
Wednesday, May 21
9:30 AM

The rich that run the city of New Orleans are still not satisfied with the amount of destruction they have carried out against poor and working people’s housing. Fresh from their ‘victory’ of demolishing thousands of Public Housing apartments--with no financing to build any replacements--the rich have now set their sites on evicting the residents of the Iberville Public Housing development.

As part of the Housing Authority of New Orleans’ (HANO) plan to ease ‘redevelopment’ for developers, HANO is stepping up evictions of families at Iberville. Kim Turner and her family have become one of those victims--but a family that is also fighting back.

Join us at the 9:30 AM Press Conference and 10 AM Board meeting that follows to support Kim Turner as she and her supporters demand HANO drop this unfair eviction and plans to destroy Iberville.
