HONOR DR KING
Join the Rev. Avery Alexander Brigade in the Martin Luther King Parade

The greatest purveyor of violence in the world [is] my own government…[F]or the sake of the hundreds of thousands trembling under our violence, I cannot be silent.
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Monday, January 19
8 AM
Gather at the Main entrance to Armstrong Park on North Rampart Street

Join the social justice contingent in the MLK parade to as we demand justice at home and abroad. Bring your banners, signs, bullhorns, and drums.
We will march as a united front with all those in agreement with the following.

We demand:

• 1 for 1 replacement of Public Housing
• Reopen the Rev. Avery C. Alexander Charity Hospital—NOW! No Demolition of Mid City neighborhoods for LSU’s hospital.
• Immediate Recognition of the New Orleans Teachers Unions as collective bargaining agent. Public, not elitist, Charter Schools
• End US Imperialist wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. Redirect resources to fight racism and poverty at home!
• Democratically Controlled Public Works program to rebuild New Orleans and Gulf-coast--infrastructure, schools, hospitals, and housing—at union wages.
• End all US aid to Israel. Stop combined Zionist/US/Egyptian attack on Gaza! Prosecution of war criminals!
• Justice for Adolph Grimes! Prosecute killer cops!
