DESCRIPTION:

Make Police Comply with Public Records Requests!!
Safe Streets/Strong Communities has joined a lawsuit filed by the Times-Picayune and Fox 8 News to make sure the public retains access to police documents.
This particular case was originally filed by the Fraternal Order of Police and the Police Association of New Orleans against the city to prevent documents on the Adolph Grimes case and the police involved in his murder from being released to the public.
Safe Streets and the media organizations are a third party in the lawsuit, establishing the historic rights of the public to this information.
This should be no exception!
Come out to the first hearing and wear some ORANGE or YOUR SAFE STREETS SHIRT:
FRIDAY MARCH 27 9:30am at CIVIL DISTRICT COURT, SECTION G (right next to City Hall).
