DAY OUT AGAINST CORPORATE CRIME!
More than a year has passed since a murder last occurred in the Iberville Housing Development. That Iberville, or any neighborhood in New Orleans can go through twelve months without being traumatized by a murder is a major accomplishment for any neighborhood in this violence plagued city. Join Iberville residents and supporters in a press conference/rally that celebrates the neighborhood’s murder free year and simultaneously exposes the lie inherent to the racist and classist myth that low income public housing is by definitions a contributing to murder problem.
5pm Tuesday, August 3rd
Basin Court, 300 block of Basin St.
Iberville Housing Development.
C3/Hands Off Iberville. 504-587-0080.

NIGHT OUT AGAINST BP CORPORATE CRIME!
The crimes against humanity committed by BP are to many to enumerate in this brief notice. However the criminal investigation by the U.S. Justice Department of BP’s handling of the Gulf Oil Spill indicate that people in Louisiana are likely victims of the oil company’s criminal predatory activities. Join us in helping raise public awareness of BP’s role in the ongoing corporate crime wave sweeping through Louisiana at New Orleans largest Night Out Against Crime gather on August 3, 2010.
Bring fliers, signs, friends & yourself.
8pm Tuesday, August 3rd. 3006
