DESCRIPTION:
AFGHANISTAN, IRAQ & NOW LIBYA!
HOW THE WARS ARE SINKING THE ECONOMY AND THE ENVIRONMENT.

The reality of America embroiled in now three wars challenges the widely held assumption that “war is good for the economy”. The escalation of America’s involvement in hot wars from first Afghanistan, than Iraq and now Libya are inflicting a terrible toll on the nation’s economy and environment. If left unchecked, a continuation of these wars of choice, imposed on the world by a government beholden to mega oil and defense corporations, will severely aggravate the economic and environmental crises already upon us. Identifying the cause and magnitude of the seemingly endless spiral of war now gripping this country is an important step towards finding a cure to this deadly political cancer.
Join us for a relatively brief panel discussion followed by a question and answer session open to all.

PANELISTS:
Robert De St. Marie Sullivan- Emergency Committee to Stop the
Gulf Oil Disaster.
Mike Howells, Ph.D.- C3/Hands Off Iberville.
Chantell Williams- N.O. Human Rights Activist.
