The 2005 New Orleans International Human Rights Film Festival
MARCH 4 - 20, 2005
The Second Annual New Orleans International Human Rights Film Festival presents 17 days of new perspectives, from prisons in California to refugee camps in Lebanon, Americans in North Korea, and hip-hop artists in Gaza. Now featuring two world premieres, Elections Fever and Four Months and Ten Days: A Journey Through Palestine.
We are proud to help bring this citywide festival of cinema to New Orleans in partnership with many local social justice organizations doing vital work in this city. Our goal is to raise awareness of human rights at home and around the world.
The New Orleans International Human Rights Film Festival is also a proud supporter of the INCITE! Women of Color Against Violence Film and Art Festival on March 11, 2005. We are pleased to include their film schedule on this site. Please see http://www.incite-national.org for more information on this festival and on the INCITE conference in New Orleans from March 11-13.
This festival is an all-volunteer effort. Proceeds support local organizing. Please donate or volunteer to support the festival. Visit the support the festival link for more information. http://nolahumanrights.org/support.html
