The claims in this posting about genocide and murder are a disgrace. There is no genocide and no murder. Instead, start looking at the imcompetence of Ray Nagin. He should be arrested and charged with manslaughter.

This posting is just the kind of crap that gives liberals a bad name. Just stop and think for a second. FEMA did not drown people. FEMA did not burn people. Did they fumble the response - you bet. Does that make the genocidal - no. That is just a stupid thing to say. Stupid. Have you done any research on the woes FEMA has gone through as an organization? The problems are much more complicated than your rediculous sound bites make it out to be.

FEMA commited murder by it's failure to act. Now it is trying to cover up the devastation by forbidding journalists from taking photos of the dead.
FEMA gave National Guard and FEMA employees 48 hours to arrive in the Gulf Coast. FAILURE to behave appropriately in the face of the biggest natural disaster in history is equivalent to committing murder

genocide (noun) : the deliberate and systematic destruction of a racial, political, or cultural group
Genocide? Against blacks? Amazing that no white people were murdered by FEMA.
Hmm, I suppose George Bush orchestrated 9/11, also. Maybe that wasn't genocide but it sure was deliberate, right?
"George Bush doesn't care about black people."
Whatever.

There are plenty of dead, poor white folks too. You just can't tell right now, 'cause everyone is covered with shit. The elite don't care for the poor, it's just easier to perceive the state murder across racial lines.

Genocide? Are these people nuts? Or, just missing some key brain cells. Yes, FEMA screwed up, yes, alot of other officials did too - but calling it GENOCIDE? That is the stupidest most ridiculous statement that I have heard yet. If there were as many indigent white people in New Orleans as there are blacks, the pictures would be of BOTH races. Of course, there aren't so that is all we see.
Grow up people!

While the response to this disaster has been severely botched, and many high ranking officialshave much blame on their shoulders, it is the system that is really to blame here. underfunding of FEMA as well as lack of funds for critical flood protection devices is what led to this catastophe. accusing FEMA of genocide is ridiculous. these deaths should be counted as casualties in the struggle of the lower classes to be taken seriously. a lack of concern at the highest levels of society has caused them to be marginalized to an unimaginable degree, but no organized extermination has taken place in New Orleans.

Thank you for these pictures. FEMA fucked up big time! Now the right rigt machines and their cronies want to cover their asses by blaming this on the mayor and the poor people who couldn't evacuate. If I were to bet most of the previous comments were made by Bush's supporters and are already ignorantly blissfull. The latest Zogby poll shows that only 41% of Americans still believe in this assholes lies! While these poor victims were drowning in their homes Bush was eating cake with John McCain. While these poor victims were waiting for food and water Bush was giving a mind numbing speech to senoirs about Medicaid in Arizona. I respect that someone has enough balls to put these pictures out there for all of us to see. And if these pictures don't wake those ignorantly blissfull people up, nothing will.

Blame
by Buster
Sunday, Sep. 11, 2005 at 4:27 PM
What is to blame is that these people did not leave when they were told to evacuate. For a few, it was truly impossible. Their deaths and struggles are on the heads of everyone, especially the Mayor and Governor, but also to a lesser extent the Feds. But for those who would not get out, even if they had to walk the 10 miles, they have learned a hard lesson that to depend on the government is a bad thing. We all have to show some personal responsibility for heeding the warnings.

Talk about having political agendas in mind! Obviously, FEMA didn't literally "drown" people, and if you were more aware of the metaphorical quality of language, you might consider the weight of blaming FEMA. I mean, the guy who was running it had been fired from being a judge for the Arabian Horse Association! He had not qualifications for the position and it was a clear example of cronyism. (I am sure you aren't even sure what that term means, so please refer to dictionary.com to learn the term). This event certainly displays the deep-seated racism and classism that is rampant in America. People who can't understand that are clearly so ideologically influenced by idiotic propaganda, that they are as bad as the "commies" in the Soviet Union who supported the party line. If you can't consider the ramifications of this event and the inability for the goverment to respond, then you are sorely lost. Unlike 9/11 this tragedy was ANTICIPATED and the government did nothing to respond to Mayor Nagin's requests! Even after the event, Bush was flying home to Crawford, probably trying to fit in some videogame playing before returning to Washington, D.C. (yes, he LOVES playing videogames). Nagin and the governor were in dire need of help and the federal government and the Homeland Security, which we have paid for in tax dollars (!), failed to respond to this crisis! Your lack of understanding of the complexity of this problem and the way in which it has been reduced to "liberals" complaining is deplorable. Jesus, think for once and stop listening to Limbaugh ...

White deaths are not as important as black ones?
by White life

At least half of these photos either show a dead White person or a covered body so as not to be able to tell the victim's race. Genocide? Where are the mass graves? The ovens? The concentration camps? WMDs? Aren't these things necessary to facilitate genocide? Perhaps the Stupidome was the concentration camp that housed all those black looters, rapists and murderers that committed genocide...oh, wait a minute, that would be blaming blacks for crimes that they actually committed, and everyone knows blacks do not commit crimes unless there is a good reason. LOL And Mayor Ray Nagin, even though he was in charge of the city of New Orleans, certainly does not deserve the blame for parking 500 school buses in a parking lot UNDER SEA LEVEL waiting to be flooded over and rendered useless to transport people out of fucking dodge before Katrina hit. LMAO If there is any genocide going on here, it is government sponsored anti-White terror by black thugs. And the government is confiscating guns from Whites so they cannot defend themselves. You people accuse Whites on being hung up on race. Well, you are obsessed with race it clouds any good judgement you may have accidentally had before you opened your mouth. If there is any good to come out of this, it is the fact that millons of Whites will wake up to the facts that: 1. The government does not give a fuck about them. This whole scenario proved it. 2. Blacks hate Whites and want them all dead. This scenario proved it. White solidarity.
are you kidding me?

If by "whites" you mean poor whites, then I agree with you, White life, that the government doesn't care about them. Otherwise, your comments, though lucid and well-written (surprising, considering your obvious intellectual shortcomings) are ridiculously obtuse. Pray tell, what is the ratio of white to black elected officials in the history of this country, especially at the highest levels? How many black presidents have we had? How many Fortune 500 CEOs are black? I myself am a white male, but I've realized over the years that white males that can't make it in America and moan and groan about racial preferences, all the while calling for "white solidarity", are either from underprivileged backgrounds with few options for advancement, or pitiful losers. Given your obvious level of education and your access to a computer, White life, I would suggest that you are the latter. Stop making excuses for your failure, shut up, and deal with the inevitability of an increasingly multiracial world.

I am an American, born white in the lower middle class. Two hurricanes and one tornado ago, I counted myself privileged to be an American; I still do. Why? Because I do not look to big daddy government to bail me out of natural (or unnatural) disasters. My neighbors and friends helped us in times of need, because they have loved us- hypocritical bible thumpers that they are! We also buy and pay for various types of insurance with the money we earn WORKING. What a concept. New Orleans has had black mayors since 1978; after the 8 year reign of "Moon" Landrieu who won his mayoral race by promising governmental positions to black voters. If the name "Landrieu" sounds familiar, it IS because Mary (La. senator) and Mitch (Lt. gov.)are "Moon's" kids and have created a virtual political hegemony which thrives on depriving poor white and black people of any chance of upward mobility in Louisiana society. Do they do it on purpose? I don't think so; I hesitate to attribute such evil motives to public servants. But they are well aquainted with the patronage system and happy to have disadvantaged voters to appeal to so they can codependently "take care of them". I was born into that group and had to make a choice between conservatives who told me outright that they weren't going to give me anything, and liberals who promised me the "moon" and figuratively gave it to me. After 35 years of liberal Democratic leadership, New Orleans ought to be a Utopia. Now the lack of 35 years of planning and leadership is all FEMA's fault? I don't think so. Even poor white people like my family knew that money meant to be spent on the levees was going into corrupt patronage programs in the 70's and 80's. Politicians took a calculated risk that they would NOT have a major hurricane on their own particular watch, because if they spent the money correctly, it wouldn't be noticed (until the big one hit). It's more fun to be flashy... like using your Red Cross debit cards to buy Louis Vuitton purses or spending over a million dollars of allocated levee funds on a public fountain (now there's a chance for a great photo-op). I could just see Jackie Kennedy talking to the pope about abortion rights... not. And let me say additionally, there is a growing number of successful black individuals who have no illusions left about this kind of liberal finger pointing. Mexican Americans aren't going to fall for it either... strong Latino Catholic backgrounds don't lend themselves to several current liberal "planks". FEMA didn't fail the people of New Orleans... their own bungling elected officials did. - An adopted Texan

You people are fucking nuts.. I read every comment.. Let's look at the big picture ... Gov. Blanco in tears because she's "too overwhelmed" . Mayor Nagin using profanity to discredit Fema and the National Guard that he wants so desperately to clean up his mess. This whole fiasco began as a state problem... HELLO...WHAT DOES MANDATORY EVACUATION REALLY MEAN? Obviously it means sit your ass at home and watch it rain!!! I know the National Guard was on hand BEFORE Katrina hit.. My husband was there... The area was so flooded they couldn't get to anyone except by Helicopter. Ya know, if the people who were there before (residents) had demanded all the help they are demanding now, they wouldn't be screaming so loud. They'd have been safe.

Is there anyone in this country today that can read, has the ambition to research and learn about what it takes to deploy such assistance? Maybe you should try reading your local emergency response plan. It is public information and your right to access it. The first thing you should look at is the last date of edit. You see, it is up to the local government to care for it's citizens for at least 72 hours until federal government resources can be mobilized and take over. What happened Nagin????? where the hell were you? Why did you turn away the school busses? Why did you turn away the amtracs It is your fault that these people died. WHY IS IT ALWAY'S SOMEONE ELSE'S FAULT???
by JEREMY

WHY IS IT, WITH BLACKS, WHEN SOMETHING GOES WRONG IT IS ALWAYS SOMEONE ELSE'S FAULT??? YOU DON'T HEAR THE PREDOMINANTLY WHITE PARTS OF THE COUNTRY BITCHING ABOUT HURRICANE KATRINA. I KNOW I SPENT TIME IN PASCAGOULA, MISSISSIPPI. THEIR ATTITUDE WAS AWESOME. THEY GOT THE SHIT KNOCKED OUT OF THEM BY MOTHER NATURE, BUT BLAMED NO ONE. MY POINT IS, THOSE LAZY BASTARDS IN NEW ORLEANS HAD THREE DAYS WARNING TO GET THE HELL OUT OF THERE. THEY ORDERED A MANDATORY EVACUATION. THEY EVEN SAID A STORM AF CATASTROPHIC PROPORTIONS WAS ON ITS WAY. INSTEAD OF LEAVING (ANY WAY POSSIBLE) THEY EXPECTED SOMEONE TO COME AND GET THEIR LAZY ASSES. THEN THEY BLAME EVERYONE ELSE. WHEN ASKED WHY MANY HAD NOT EVACUATED, I SAW HEALTHY, MIDDLE AGED, PEOPLE SAY THEY HAD NO TRANSPORTATION. HOW FAR CAN A HEALTHY HUMAN BEING WALK IN 72 HOURS TIME??? EVEN CARRYING BELONGINGS ,WHETHER THAT BE KIDS OR WHATEVER ELSE, I SUSPECT THEY COULD HAVE EASILY GOTTEN 20 MILES OUT OF TOWN. I GUARANTEE YOU THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT I WOULD DO, START WALKING. INSTEAD THEY DECIDED TO STAY, RAISE HELL, SHOOT AT MILITARY HELICOPTERS BRINGING THEIR LAZY ASSES MUCH NEEDED SUPPLIES, STEAL THINGS THAT THEY POSSIBLY COULD NOT USE, AND THEN INVADE THE SUPERDOME. ONCE IN THE SUPERDOME THEY LASH OUT AT WHO? THEIR OWN PEOPLE. RAPING KIDS AND WOMEN, STEALING, DOING DRUGS, MURDERING. C'MON, WE ARE SUPPOSED TO FEEL SORRY FOR YOU???
Not Ray's Fault

How in the world could you possibly blame Ray? To a small degree, YES but give me a break......the last I checked Ray doesn't stand for Federal Emgergency Management Agency. Do some research and then speak. FEMA wouldn't even allow convoy trucks with thousands of gallons of bottled water through to give to the people. They were unprepared, negligent, and treated people inhumanely. You mean to tell me that scores of Military personnel parading the streets 24/7 and no one got murdered. What fantasy world do you live in? I'm not saying that those in these pictures were murdered by FEMA but what I saw was a Police State and Disorganization. You had members of the National Guard that locked themselves in a Board Room at the Convention Center while people were getting raped and beaten just outside their doors. Luckily for you and I, we didn't have to go through any of that. You'd be singing a different story then. Yeah Ray's guilty of being a retard and cracking under pressure. While his police force was busy going awol and shopping for free at Walmart, thousands were desperately fighting for their lives, terrified, and without help when FEMA had access to any and all resources it needed. End of story!
