by new orleans legal action workers Sunday, Oct. 16, 2005 at 1:19 PM

These two interviews are with two cousins who were arrested last night on a public street for 'trespassing'. it was their first night back in new orleans, they came back from houston to move their things out. after being arrested, one of the men was beaten in the interrogation room, and had dredlocks torn out of his head.

These men are not the first to be beaten in the Greyhound jail. They are just the latest victims of a blatant policy of racial discrimination and intimidation that is meant to keep black people afraid to come home.

The picture shows the iron pellets that were fired at the men throughout the night, both in the interrogation room and in the outdoor cage set up in the bus terminal of the Greyhound station.
