by Community Center of St Bernard Monday, Feb. 23, 2009 at 3:55 PM
info@ccstb.org (504) 269-0234

Free Children's Mental Health Assistance available on March 3 from Milestones Mental Health Agency for children age 17 and younger who receive Medicaid. Offered at the Community Center of St Bernard.

Staff from Milestones Mental Health Agency will be at the Community Center of St. Bernard, 1107 LeBeau St in Arabi on March 3, 2009 from 10:30 AM to 12:00PM
to assist parents and caretakers who have children in need of mental health services.

Parents whose child has been experiencing serious behavior or emotional problems for at least 3 months, or whose child has been hospitalized at least once
for mental health reasons, are invited to attend a free consultation with Milestones Mental Health staff to see if their child would qualify for Milestones
services. No appointment is needed; however, participation in this program is limited to children age 17 and younger who are Medicaid recipients.

Milestones Mental Health Agency, located in Uptown New Orleans, is a mental health rehabilitation agency for children and adolescents with severe emotional/
behavioral disorders. Milestones’s “Behavioral Health: Children and Adolescents Program” is accredited by CARF (Commission on Accreditation of
Rehabilitation Facilities). Through this program, counselors and social workers from Milestones work with children at home and in school to provide
personalized counseling and skills training, as well as offering parenting and family therapy.

Additional Milestones resources include a psychiatrist for medication management, and trained staff who are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for
crisis services. For more information, please phone Milestones Mental Health Agency at (504) 269-0234 or visit http://milestonesmha.homestead.com.
