Students of the World, UNITE!

Stewart Alexander of California and Alex Mendoza of Texas have been nominated by the Socialist Party USA to run for the President and Vice President of the United States in 2012; the campaign wants to engage students and allow them participate in the current political landscape and the upcoming presidential election, even though they may not be old enough to vote.

As the 35th President of the United States John Fitzgerald Kennedy once boldly stated, “let the word go forth from this time and place, to friend and foe alike, that the torch has been passed to a new generation of Americans.”

The torch has been passed to our generation. Technology has advanced to the point where instant communication can prove to be one of the most powerful uses of spreading concepts, new and old alike. We have the untapped potential to spread the sphere of influence of the Socialist Party USA as America’s voice for democratic socialism.

Stewart Alexander of California and Alex Mendoza of Texas have been nominated by the Socialist Party USA to run for the President and Vice President of the United States in 2012.

The Stewart Alexander / Alex Mendoza Presidential campaign of 2012 ticket wants to engage students and allow them participate in the current political landscape and the upcoming presidential election, even though they may not be old enough to vote.

What to do?

Students will select a specific section or sections of the Alexander / Mendoza platform that they would want to center their video around. By selecting a specific section of the platform or current issue, they will research the platform of either the Alexander / Mendoza presidential campaign or of the Socialist Party USA respectably. If the students would like produce more than one video for the presidential campaign, then they most certainly can by selecting another section of the platform.

To send a strong sense of unity, comradely, and solidarity, each video will end with the following – “I am Stewart Alexander.” This will bring continuity and consistency to all the video submissions.

Once the students are done with the final product, please send the video file to the Alexander/Mendoza 2012 campaign: http://www.stewartalexanderforpresident2012.org/ and we will pick the best entries to post on the official Alexander / Mendoza Presidential Campaign at the YouTube Student Video Project link.

NOTE: When producing such videos, please DO NOT use the party name of “Socialist Party USA” and simply focus on the presidential campaign and not the Party itself. Also, DO NOT attack other presidential candidates from any other political party.

Here is an excellent example of what this project can look like –
