On the night of May 1 a crew of approximately 20 hooligans visited HRI Properties CEO Pres Kabacoff and his phony voodoo priestess wife Sallie Ann Glassman at their home in the Bywater neighborhood to deliver them their long overdue welcome to downtown. Our house-warming gift—a dumpster’s worth of the filthiest trash we could find—was silently carted in using several shopping carts taken from the Wal-Mart that sits where the St. Thomas Projects used to be. This month, Woodfox's conviction was overturned by US District Court Judge James Brady. Louisiana Attorney General Says Angola 3 “Have Never Been Held in Solitary Confinement”
James “Buddy” Caldwell, attorney general of the state of Louisiana, has released a statement saying unequivocally that Herman Wallace and Albert Woodfox, the two still-imprisoned members of the Angola 3, “have never been held in solitary confinement while in the Louisiana penal system.” In fact, Wallace, now 71, and Woodfox, 66, have been in solitary for nearly 41 years.
